The result of Chennai vs Gujarat IPL 2023 Qualifier 1 will decide the first finalist of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Chennai Super Kings have faced Gujarat Titans three times in IPL and lost on all three occasions against Hardik Pandya & Co. IPL 2023 inaugural match was played between CSK and GT in Ahmedabad where Gujarat defeated CSK by 5 runs. Even though CSK vs GT head-to-head record stands at 3-0, it won’t be easy for the defending champions to beat Chennai at their home ground Chepauk.

Chennai Super Kings vs Gujarat Titans IPL 2023 Qualifier 1 will take place in Chennai. As per Accuweather, there is absolutely no chance of rain in the capital city of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday (May 23). Fans for sure will get to see complete, uninterrupted 40-over T20 action at Chepauk. The temperature in Chennai is expected to remain somewhere between 30-32 degree celsius. 

What will happen if no play is possible due to poor weather?

Although there’s no chance of a rain interruption during IPL 2023 Qualifier 1 between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans, but if a miracle happens and its rains at Chennai, a super over will decide the winner of Qualifier 1. This rule applies for all IPL 2023 Playoffs games, including IPL 2023 final. If ground conditions aren’t suitable to conduct a super over then the league standings decide the winner, which means Gujarat Titans will enter directly to the final as they are at the number one position in IPL 2023 Points Table.
