If you’re a fan of rap, you have to be a fan of the one and only D. O. Double G. Snoop Dogg. He’s not just a pioneering rapper and amazing artist, he also seems like one of the most down to earth celebrities periodt. He’s chill with Martha Stewart, he made an AMAZING children’s album that is actually enjoyable for both children and parents, and to further prove that he’s chill AF, he recently reacted to a hilarious joke mashup of one of his classic bangers.
“Gin and Juice,” a song her released in 1993, is a classic rap song that sings about living that party life and being your best authentic self. (No, we will not argue on that with you.) To put it simply, however, it is not a children’s song. It is definitely a rated-R song, MAYBE a PG-13 song with the radio edit. It’s filled with swear words and sexual innuendos. Honestly, it makes any millennial feel like a bada** the second it comes on.
Now, when we talk about Disney’s classic song “The Bare Necessities” from the children’s film The Jungle Book, it’s a whole other story. This is a song meant for kids, it’s supposed to emphasis the enjoyment of the simple things in life and is paired with a catchy melody made to enthrall young minds. It’s definitely a G-rated song.
So combining “The Bare Necessities” with “Gin and Juice” is not something usually suggested. However, a TikToker known for making mashups that hilariously “ruin” songs, did just that and it actually slaaaaaps. The hilarious mashup slapped so hard that Snoop Dogg himself came across it and had to post his reaction to it. He went through all 5 stages of grief initially, but in the end it looks like he is loving it. See for yourself below!
